All children must have access to health care in Québec

The Commission denounced the fact that some children from migrant families do not have access to health care, which can have serious consequences for their development, as shown by a report made public by the Observatoire des tout-petits. It should be noted that this exclusion applies to children born here, among others, and who are therefore Canadian citizens.

Montréal, April 10, 2019 – The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse today denounced the fact that some children from migrant families do not have access to health care, which can have serious consequences for their development, as shown by a report made public by the Observatoire des tout-petits. It should be noted that this exclusion applies to children born here, among others, and who are therefore Canadian citizens.
