Montreal, June 10 2014 – You can now follow the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube.
“It’s very important for the Commission to reach people where they are. All Quebeckers, whatever their age, are increasingly using social media. It’s one more way for people to access information and also to debate issues related to fundamental rights and freedoms,” today said the president of the Commission, Jacques Frémont.
By following the Commission on social media, Internet users can find out quickly about its public announcements, opinions and research papers. They can also learn more about their rights and how to best defend them.

The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse (Human Rights and Youth Commission) ensures the promotion and respect of the principles set out in the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. It also ensures that the interests of children are protected and that their rights recognized in the Youth Protection Act are respected and promoted. In addition, the Commission oversees compliance with the Act respecting Equal Access to Employment in Public Bodies.
