The Charter of the French language and its regulations govern the consultation of English-language content.

Training session | Recruitment without discrimination

While recognizing the rights of employers to manage their businesses and organizations, the Charter guarantees the right to equality in the workplace. It applies to relations between employees and their superiors, between employees themselves and between employees and clientele. In all activities related to human resources, discrimination on the grounds, among others, of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, sex, civil status, age, etc. is prohibited. The workshop will help participants create a workplace respectful of diversity and human rights.

This training lasts 3 hours.

This workshop is recognized as continuing education by the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA) The examples and scenarios can be adapted to your context, but the content and duration of the training cannot be modified..

  • Target clientele

    Trainers, employers, human resource managers, managers, union representatives, equity and diversity committee members, psychosocial integration workers, employability counselors who want to develop practices consistent with The Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms; Agents or advocates conducting a defense or rights education project or who wish to develop such projects.

  • Objectives

    After completing this workshop, participants will be able to:

    • •explain the key human rights concepts that apply to the workplace
    • know which Charter sections apply to the workplace   
    • recognize discriminatory practices in hiring
    • adapt your recruitment tools to comply with the Charter
  • Educational approach

    Content is delivered using discussions, a participatory approach, simulation and other exercises, sharing good practices, and through an interactive presentation.

All our training sessions are free of charge, and take place in the venue of your choice

Before requesting a session, be sure to: 

  • Form a group of 15 or more people who are part of the target audience for the session. 
  • Allow a minimum of six weeks for the session to be organized.
