While welcoming the draft regulation that will guide the proper conduct of the independent investigations of the new Bureau des enquêtes indépendantes, aimed at ending the practice “of police investigating police,” some modifications are still necessary to ensure the integrity and credibility of the process, according to the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse.
