International Human Rights Day: Stand up for someone's rights today!

On the eve of International Human Rights Day, the Commission calls on Quebecers to take up the United Nations’ invitation to “Stand up for someone's rights today!” It also launches two new publications to highlight the coming into force of the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms 40 years ago which will help foster a better understanding of human rights and freedoms.

Montréal, December 9, 2016 – On the eve of International Human Rights Day, the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse calls on Quebecers to take up the United Nations’ invitation to “Stand up for someone's rights today!” It also launches two new publications to highlight the coming into force of the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms 40 years ago which will help foster a better understanding of human rights and freedoms.
