Racial profiling: the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse wins a case against the SPVM and two of its officers

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) and two of its officers to pay $12,000 in damages to a man for racial profiling. The case was brought to the Tribunal by the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse.

Montréal, March 7, 2018– The Human Rights Tribunal ordered the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) and two of its officers to pay $12,000 in damages to a man for racial profiling. The case was brought to the Tribunal by the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse.
