Rights of Indigenous Peoples: The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse will closely examine the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s report

The Commission will review the 94 recommendations made in the Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, released today in Ottawa. « After having documented the violations of fundamental rights of Indigenous peoples, it is now time to move towards reconciliation by taking concrete action » stated the President of the Commission, Jacques Frémont.
